RMH Systems, one of the Midwest's largest material handling, packaging, and industrial scale distributors, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Engineer in our Bellevue office. This position will support the sales team with generalized system and machine CAD design layouts, proposed budgets (hours and material/equipment costs), and technical documents like system overviews, proposed statements of work, and system sequence of operations. This is a key position in developing custom industrial automated systems, primarily in the material handling and packaging industries. We are looking for an organized individual with strong design experience, in addition to PLC programming and controls experience. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in a professional, work setting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact daily with potential customers and RMH salesmen to develop system designs & proposals that encompass what our customer requires.
- Create a cost breakdown of standard equipment and estimates for the equipment RMH Systems will design and integrate into the system.
- Collaborate with the functional sales and engineering teams to create a high-level system layout (2D and/or 3D CAD) including equipment specifications.
- Create hours estimate breakdowns for developing, building, testing, and integrating a complete automated system.
- Create a general process flow and cycle time chart of the system, to ensure the proposed system can meet the customer’s requirements.
- Work with vendors to specify necessary equipment for the proposed system and maximize cost savings.
- Program and integrate robotic systems per customer specifications. (Marginal function)
- Responsible for assisting in PLC, HMI, and PC programming and development, including identifying potential scope changes and/or problem areas.
- Present concepts and budgets to our customers and internal teams clearly and concisely in person or via video conference.
- Manage numerous project proposals at different stages of the quoting process.
- Provide onsite installation advisement and start-up. Commissioning services on the job site.
- Advise sales team on design functionality and applicability of FANUC robots.
- Technical Degree in Robotics or Automation.
- PLC programming experience and/or Familiarity with both PLC hardware and software
- FANUC robotics training, preferably one year is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming.
- AutoCAD, 5+ years of experience required.
- 5+ years of general Engineering experience required.
- RoboGuide experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed.
- Safety-oriented attitude required

- Customer service orientation.
- Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate diagnostic software.
- Experience with electrical system installation is preferred
- Experience with mechanical system installation is preferred quits before
