General Summary
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Head Golf Professional is responsible for all golf activities as assigned and directed by the Club’s management. The Head Golf Professional provides leadership to the golf professional team providing the best customer service and hospitality to all members and guests. The Head Golf Professional is responsible for achieving personal revenue goals each month while providing the best customer service and hospitality to all members and guests.

Primary Job Functions
- Promote and teach golf clinics, private lessons, and adult/junior/senior programs
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining daily teaching schedule, including but not limited to, private lessons and group lessons
- Responsible for achieving personal and department revenue goals
- Provide new member golf orientations and evaluations, along with an introduction to the facility and its programming
- Notify and encourage members to participate in the Club’s golf events
- Attend Golf Department staff meetings and General Staff Meeting or Associate Orientations as directed by Club Management
- Schedule permitting, be available for posted golf Clinics or other job functions throughout the Club in emergency situations.
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
- Be on time for all scheduled appointments
- Maintain accurate, current records on all client exercise programs and progress
- Keep track of each client’s sessions and fee payments
- Enforce all golf department and club policies
- Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the golf areas. Ensure the environment is safe for all those who use the facility.
- Accurately record each day worked, the actual time worked and client sessions in the appropriate tracking system
- Develop, implement and promote golf clinics, lessons, leagues and adult/junior/senior programs
- Responsible to perform payroll functions for the golf department
- Responsible for member communication and follow up through e-mail and voicemail in a timely manner
- Provide leadership and guidance to other golf professionals
- Promote the company’s safety goals and actively work towards ensuring a safe working environment
- Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Actively further corporate objectives and continuously support improvement and positive change
- Assist with special club projects, events and promotions
