Purpose for the Position:

To repair and maintain physical structure of hotel using hand tools and power tools.

Purpose for the Position:

To repair and maintain the physical structure of hotel using hand tools and power tools.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintains hotel by performing minor routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
  • Training resources for Engineers.
  • Monitors performance compliance to accept building standards by Engineers II & III.
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guests questions, compliant, and/or request to ensure strong guests satisfaction.
  • Replaces air conditioner filters.
  • Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
  • Execution of assigned tasks, projects, or programs, as instructed by the department’s management and ensure completion competently within a given time.
  • To ensure any work requests that may come from the hotel guests or senior management are responded to withing a given time. All such requests are to be recorded along with what action is taken.
  • Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
  • Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  • All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

  • Work to precise measurements.
  • Visualize how finished product will look or how system will operate.
  • Use arithmetic to measure, compute number of materials to use, and to inspect product to be sure it conforms to requirements.
  • Lift and move materials and products.
  • Climb and balance self.
  • Work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Work with a variety of situations.
  • Physical Demands: Medium work. Exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, and or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Requirements

  • High school completion or an equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Hands-on experience with industry tools, software, or systems
  • Attendance:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by WCG, Inc. from time to time, is essential to be successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance/ tardies will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
