As a Sr. Manager, IT Financial Apps with Certara, you are part of a global, fast-paced IT organization with the primary mission to provide capable & resilient world class services to professional services, software, and corporate business units ensuring our team members have access and ability to perform as the highest level in service of our customers.
The Information Technology function relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals through implementation of industry best practice methodologies, governance, and tooling. The Sr. Manager, IT Financial Apps role is responsible for the management and efficient operations of business applications related to Finance, Accounting and Professional Services project delivery working in concert with other technology and business leaders within Certara. Working across disciplines, the role will support consistency of delivery, capability enhancements, and strategic projects while maintaining responsive support for changing industry requirements and business growth. This role ensures team members, business stakeholders and executive management understand the tactical operations and strategic direction of the IT organization
The role requires solid understanding of services & software organizations as well as internal corporate functions. This is a leadership role, but the candidate should be comfortable being hand-on and leveraging the skills of cross-functional teams to gain successful outcomes.

- Technical Acumen & Project Facilitation
- Maintain high levels of technical competency for your area of expertise as part of your role in support of senior technical staff
- Understand functional requirements of IT areas in Service Delivery, Infrastructure, Business Applications, Project Management, and Compliance to work collaboratively
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables with ability to forecast ability to execute future projects
- Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
- 10+ years of IT experience with a demonstrated track record of advancement and escalating responsibilities
- 4+ years in a technical leadership role in life sciences, software, or services organizations preferred
- 6+ years in a hands-on technical role with ERP solutions
- 2+ years of administering NetSuite required
- Experience with a PSA solution such as Kantata OX (Mavenlink), Certinia, OpenAir etc… a plus
- Experience with an expense management application like SAP Concur beneficial
- Experience implementing/supporting an EPM advantageous
- Experience with Security, Audit, Risk Management and compliance expected (SOX, ISO)
- Experience and knowledge of regulations and laws related to IT-related standards globally
- Broad knowledge of business functions and how technology can augment those functions
- Proficiency with agile or other program management methodologies & associated tooling
- Adept at building processes, project management, and delivering commitments on time
- Expertise working on large and deeply transformative projects with focus on change management
- High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
- Familiar with business applications & data integration solutions
- Resourceful in an ambiguous environment
- Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
