Description
Biochemical Process Engineer Duties
- Design and develop bioprocess systems and associated equipment for the plant’s fermentation and dry manufacturing processes.
- Analyze data to identify trends, optimize processes and provide reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
- Interpret and analyze results of experiments and tests
- Assess potential risks and develop mitigation plans
- Maintain records and document process parameters
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and execute bioprocesses
- Designing, developing, and optimizing bioprocess systems e.g. fermentation
- Implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and quality
- Performing research and analysis of bioprocesses
- Collecting and interpreting data on bioprocesses
- Bachelor's degree in bioprocess, biochemical, or chemical engineering or related field
- Experience in bioprocess engineering – minimum 3 years, 5 or more preferred
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of bioprocess and fermentation systems
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and confidence
- Perform role of a leader by motivating and inspiring others to perform well, while displaying passion and optimism regarding the business
- Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times
- Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures
