About Us

Avaneer Dental Studio, part of the Catalis Dental Lab Partners premier network, is an innovative dental laboratory specializing in high-quality restorations. We are seeking a skilled Porcelain Technician with a strong understanding of natural dentition morphology to join our Fixed Department. This role requires a balance of artistic craftsmanship and efficiency to ensure both quality and quantity in production.

Job Responsibilities

Contouring & Morphology:

  • Expertly contour, shape, and refine anterior and posterior restorations to achieve natural esthetics.
  • Ensure accurate occlusal function and proper morphology based on natural dentition.
  • Apply anatomical and functional principles to create lifelike porcelain restorations.

Quality & Aesthetic Standards

  • Maintain consistency in shade, translucency, and texture for all porcelain restorations.
  • Utilize layering techniques to create natural-looking depth and color variations.
  • Perform quality control checks to meet both internal and clinician expectations.
  • Work closely with the QC team to ensure minimal adjustments are needed before delivery.

Efficiency & Production Goals

  • Balance quality and quantity, ensuring timely case completion without compromising precision.
  • Follow workflow protocols to optimize turnaround time and maximize productivity.
  • Adapt to digital workflows and CAD/CAM integrations where necessary.

Collaboration & Skill Development

  • Work closely with the ceramic team, quality control, and management to improve processes.
  • Stay updated with advancements in porcelain materials, techniques, and dental technology.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and ensure best practices are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years as a porcelain technician, with expertise in contouring and morphology.
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to mimic natural dentition, especially in anterior esthetics.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to achieve highly esthetic, functional restorations with minimal error.
  • Time Management: Capable of maintaining efficiency while producing consistent, high-quality work.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot esthetic and functional challenges independently.
  • Bonus Skills: Familiarity with stain and glaze techniques, digital ceramics, and CAD/CAM ceramics is a plus.
