Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer in our Engineering Group in the Grand Junction, Colorado office, you will leverage your expertise in:

• Preparation of construction documents and designs for a variety of civil infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer improvements.
• Design elements include engineering reports, roadway and drainage layouts and corridor modeling, and water and sewer line design.
• Preparing engineering reports, writing scopes of work, preparing quantity and cost estimates, preparing bid documents.
• Providing design support during construction, managing time to keep within budget constraints.
• Working with clients and providing review and QAQC of work products and deliverables prepared by other staff within the group or outside the company.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• You have graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• You have earned your PE license.
• You have 4 years' minimum experience in civil engineering.
• You have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation and Inroads.
• You have experience in traffic and transportation engineering and/or roadway design and familiarity with CDOT standards and processes is preferred.
• You have strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to problem solve, supervision of staff and work, as well as the ability to mentor and train less experienced engineers.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn and grow.
• You welcome feedback and find ways to do your work better.
• You are eager to make your work more efficient by learning and mastering various engineering technologies.
