Position Overview
The educator is a competent, licensed practical nurse or practical nurse who delivers education to employees utilizing the nursing process. They are able to provide education through a variety of methods, to include but not limited to: bedside training, in-services, classroom presentations and skill labs. They have working knowledge of LPN and RN scope of practices, up to date evidence-based practices and clinical skill sets. They are able to assist in maintaining employee education files and data entry. Able to assist in the assessment, development, delivery and evaluation of employment education with the Education department staff.

Education
- Certificate of Applied Science, required.
- Associate of Science, preferred.
- Two years related experience or similar experience is required.
- Experience as an educator or adjunct educator, preferred.
- Experience as a preceptor to other staff members, preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Practical Nurse in the State of Montana
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Attention to detail and well organized.
- Self-starter and able to self-direct as needed.
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
