General Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Director, People Development, the Professional Development Generalist RN is responsible for course development in-person and computer-based, and the implementation of learning programs that cultivate and nurture Parrish Healthcare’s culture of evidence-based excellence.

The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plans, markets, develops, implements and evaluates educational initiatives across the organization.
• Ensures effective student experiences through reviews and evaluations.
• Conducts training/educational offerings in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Implements training based on evidenced based practice standards for the purpose of quality improvement.
• Builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with interdisciplinary departments.
• Serves as an administrator for the computer-based Learning Management System.
• Supports new care partner orientation and onboarding across the organization.
• Participates in process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
• Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area
  
  
  

Requirements:

Formal Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Major required: Nursing
  
  
  

Work Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
  
  
  

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification (required within first year)
• State of Florida Registered Nurse License required
