As the first point of contact for many residents, visitors, and staff, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming environment while supporting various administrative functions.

Job Description:
Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Wedgewood is seeking a professional, friendly, and reliable Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for many residents, visitors, and staff, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming environment while supporting various administrative functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer telephones, determine the nature of calls, and direct callers to the appropriate individuals or departments.
- Assist department directors with administrative tasks such as typing reports and correspondence.
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, posting accounts, and supporting payroll when needed.
- Greet visitors and guide them to the appropriate offices or resident rooms.
- Issue and collect visitor identification badges.
- Maintain updated files/lists of residents, emergency contact numbers, department extensions, and key personnel.
- Manage and track important dates for contracts, renewals, and administrative deadlines.
- Operate office equipment such as copiers, phone systems, and paging systems.
- Order and track supplies according to facility protocols and budgets.
- Provide directions and general information to visitors, residents, and vendors.
- Assist with inter-facility communication and distribute mail as needed.
- Ensure office supplies are restocked and equipment repairs are requested as necessary.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and make independent decisions when needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the public.
- Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures.
- Cheerful and professional demeanor with a team-oriented attitude.
- Commitment to minimizing waste and maintaining efficient operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one (1) year of clerical experience or completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college.
