Description

Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team aims to "build world-class general-purpose intelligence services that benefit every Amazon business and humanity." We are looking for a Program Manager to join our team in beautiful Santa Barbara, California.

As a Program Manager, you will work with leaders across AGI-Information to develop and run important business and operations mechanisms that drive strategic decisions about resource investment and workflow prioritization. In this high-visibility role, you will work across teams in AGI-Info to report on productivity and impact metrics for critical data projects, delivering routine reports to senior leadership.

A successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual contributor who excels at dealing with ambiguity and is capable of operating at all levels. They will possess a strong handle on data, excellent writing skills, and a reputation as someone who brings simplified solutions to complex problems and consistently follows through on their commitments. They will possess strong organizational and communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders throughout a large organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and run routine reporting mechanisms that drive data-driven decision-making about resource investment and workflow prioritization
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams to create and report on metrics related to customer impact of specific workstreams
  • Partner with Finance team to report on workstream ROI
  • Act as the point of contact for leaders across the AGI-Info org
  • Coordinate projects with many individuals

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
