The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions and financial transactions of the pharmacy.

The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions and financial transactions of the pharmacy.
Requirements
Responsibilities of the Accountant include the following:
- Ensure proper handling of pharmacy banking, including timely deposits
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for revenue
- Reconcile Intercompany transactions
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Maintain chart of accounts for Multiple Entities
- Consolidate Financial Statements
- Annual Business State Filings
- Personal Property Tax
- Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings
- Undertake ad hoc projects as required
- Contribute to a positive work climate and overall team effort within the pharmacy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Minimum 4 years of financial accounting experience required including, but not limited to, financial statement preparation, general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Must be intermediate to advanced level with MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat and Quick Books.
- Detail oriented, highly self-motivated, positive team-player attitude, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
