Description

The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions and financial transactions of the pharmacy.

Requirements

Responsibilities of the Accountant include the following:

  • Ensure proper handling of pharmacy banking, including timely deposits
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for revenue
  • Reconcile Intercompany transactions
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Maintain chart of accounts for Multiple Entities
  • Consolidate Financial Statements
  • Annual Business State Filings
  • Personal Property Tax
  • Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required
  • Contribute to a positive work climate and overall team effort within the pharmacy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of financial accounting experience required including, but not limited to, financial statement preparation, general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Must be intermediate to advanced level with MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat and Quick Books.
  • Detail oriented, highly self-motivated, positive team-player attitude, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
