About The Job
Nazdar is hiring a Narrow Web Technical Applications Representative to join the team at our corporate office in Shawnee, KS. This person will be responsible for supporting new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts by developing and testing new products and modifying existing products for the flexographic Narrow Web market.

About The Job
Nazdar is hiring a Narrow Web Technical Applications Representative to join the team at our corporate office in Shawnee, KS. This person will be responsible for supporting new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts by developing and testing new products and modifying existing products for the flexographic Narrow Web market.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and formulate water-based product lines as determined by management
- Test new products for reliability, printability, and fit for application. Plan and conduct evaluations for manufactured products.
- Plan and conduct customer/vendor evaluations.
- Assist in the development of new products.
- Recommend and execute modifications to existing products.
- Assist customers with ink application problems. This may entail traveling to the customer’s site for hands on assistance. Travel may consist of 25% to 70% per year.
- Establishes and manages all Technical Service projects for lab and field evaluations.
- Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality and efficiency operating procedures.
- Obtain Nazdar consolidated, distribution location, and specific customer product sales and profit performance information from Nazdar Business Intelligence, or other corporate resources for the purpose of conducting marketing and product analysis.
- Procure samples of competitive products for review and analysis.
- Procure samples from vendor of new product recommendations.
- Research supplier relationships with 3rd. party vendors to provide Nazdar with product support equipment and infrastructure support programs.
- Attend domestic trade shows in the flexographic and related industries to research market opportunities for Nazdar products.
- Assists with other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field or equivalent experience in ink development or application.
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience working in the flexographic applications markets, with an emphasis on Tag & Label and Flexible Packaging applications.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using X-Rite Spectrophotometer and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
