Quality Notification (QN) Project Engineer

Location: East Hartford, CT

Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

About the Role:

Cyient is seeking a highly motivated Quality Notification (QN) Project Engineer to join our team in East Hartford, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing all tasks associated with the electronic Quality Notification (eQN) process. This includes initiating, tracking, and closing engineering reviews for components that do not meet blueprint specifications, but may still meet functional and customer requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and coordinate assigned eQN projects from initiation to closure
• Load new eQNs, export QN data, and initiate engineering tasks with delivery teams
• Review and summarize engineering dispositions
• Track deliverables and report on project status regularly
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely processing of parts
• Identify and mitigate potential delays in the eQN process
• Facilitate continuous process improvements and drive cost-saving initiatives
• Coordinate expedient closure of eSRIs (Electronic Supplier Request Information)
• Provide technical assistance and support to interdisciplinary teams
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience OR Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience as a design or project engineer in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround setting
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including VBA macros)
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus
• Knowledge of aerospace and jet engine components preferred
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
