Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to secure high-quality materials, components, and services from national and international suppliers at the best possible cost. This role involves identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain. The Sourcing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, drive cost savings, and enhance supplier performance on a global scale.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive global sourcing strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and strategic fit.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key global suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and performance standards.
  • Develop and implement supplier development programs to enhance supplier capabilities and performance.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions.
  • Manage the creation, review, and execution of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze cost trends and market conditions to drive cost reductions.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to achieve cost targets and budget objectives.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure sourcing strategies meet technical and operational requirements.
  • Provide support for new product development by sourcing materials and components that meet design specifications.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with global sourcing, including geopolitical, financial, and supply chain risks.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in the global supply chain landscape.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor supplier performance, track sourcing activities, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to global sourcing.
  • Prepare and present reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics to senior management.
  • Lead yearly supplier summit with metric based awards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of global sourcing processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in global sourcing and supply chain management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the sourcing team.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful global sourcing strategies.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Remote/Hybrid office setting with travel to RWB and supplier sites as needed.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically low
  • Personal protective equipment is occasionally required including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
