Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at construction sites to ensure timelines, safety, and quality are met
  • Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and laborers; ensure productivity and resolve conflicts
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to manage schedules and expectations
  • Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to lead and direct construction activities
  • Maintain accurate project records including daily reports, inspections, and progress photos
  • Ensure jobsite safety protocols are strictly followed, including regular toolbox talks
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding job progress, changes, or concerns
  • Monitor deliveries, materials, and equipment to prevent delays and ensure readiness
  • Conduct jobsite meetings and manage inspections with governing authorities
  • Travel to out-of-town job sites as required, with per diem provided

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial, industrial, or public sector construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, site safety, and quality control
  • Excellent leadership and field management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools
  • OSHA certifications, lift certifications, and fall protection training strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Superintendent on a variety of Commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management and scheduling platforms
  • Formal training or education in Construction Management or related field

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time - Monday to Friday
  • Occasional weekend or evening hours depending on project demands

Work Location

  • Based in Ohio; travel required for regional projects
  • Willingness to work as a traveling superintendent a plus
