Pay range $20-$21 per hour
Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing a high volume of invoices for payment including the issuance of checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk includes reviewing approved vendor invoices for payment, reconciliation of reports, maintaining business partner files and records as well as any other clerical duties associated with this position.

Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing a high volume of invoices for payment including the issuance of checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk includes reviewing approved vendor invoices for payment, reconciliation of reports, maintaining business partner files and records as well as any other clerical duties associated with this position.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Match purchase orders to invoices and enter invoices into NetSuite
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
- Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, and issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Pay employees by verifying expense report accuracy
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements; Enter new or update vendor names and data
- Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the AP function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Assist with preparation of financial statements
- Research questions arising during financial statement close and review processes
- Provide documentation and support during annual financial statement audits
- Protect Organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Certifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- 1 to 3+ years accounts payables preferred
- 1+ years QuickBooks Knowledge and experience preferred
- 1+ years NetSuite Knowledge and experience preferred
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- General math skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
