Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead pipe crew in the installation of sewer, storm drain, and water systems.
- Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications for underground utility work.
- Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed at all times.
- Coordinate daily work tasks and schedule with project managers and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, crew hours, and job progress.
- Operate and oversee use of excavation equipment as needed.
- Perform and oversee trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and testing operations.
- Mentor crew members and assist with on-the-job training.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to underground utility installation.
- 5+ years of experience in underground utility installation; 2+ years in a supervisory/foreman role preferred.
- Strong understanding of sewer, storm drain, and water systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for excavation sites.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to operate excavation equipment and tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
