SERVPRO of Metairie is looking for a Warehouse & Facilities Manager to join our team of professionals and undertake a variety of restoration duties.

The suitable candidate needs to have strong communication skills, ability to work in, and help people through, challenging situations, and be customer service oriented as our main task each day is to assist customers, who may be experiencing a flood of emotions, and are depending on us to turn back the tide of uncertainty. Our cleaning team mobilizes homes or businesses that need to be packed and moved out so that restoration can begin. The packed content is then brought to our warehouse where it will be cleaned, deodorized, and stored until the restoration process is complete. The team also mobilizes to clean structures that have experienced fire, water, or mold damage. They also perform general and routine cleanings.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs
• Plan and organize materials and items in the warehouse, including inventory tasks
• Handle and execute shipping operations
• Maintain, clean and repair assets for use in the warehouse and field
• Maintain, clean and organize the warehouse, grounds, restrooms, hallways and offices as assigned
• Oversee facility maintenance
• Manage job file documentation
• Coach and train production technicians
• Ensure clear two-way communication with operations manager, production managers, office team, crew chiefs, and production technicians
• Continue development of production skills and expertise of services, cleaning products and equipment knowledge
• Control costs of products and supplies.
• Manage equipment, product and supplies
• Understand and utilize all safety and risk management guidelines in the warehouse, in the office, on the grounds, on a job site, and while traveling
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• 2+ years pack out, moving, warehouse experience preferred
• Experience driving/pulling a trailer preferred
• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures and inventory control
• Supervision and people skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Effective oral communication
• Detail oriented with an emphasis on organization
  
  
  

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
