WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE-NATIONAL CITY, CA
Brief Description:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the successful completion of assigned duties by the Warehouse Manager. Duties may vary, based on business need.
Versatility will be required to perform tasks accurately & will be monitored by management for accuracy and quality. The Warehouse Associate is empowered to identify any potential safety hazards and report immediately to management.
The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing functions across all facets of the Distribution Center, up to and including Receiving, Shipping, Kitting, Packaging, Order Processing, Inventory control, Housekeeping, Safety training & any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, and/or Warehouse Supervisor & Warehouse Lead.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain positive work environment
- Ensure accuracy of the inventory, order pulling, kitting, receiving & all WH related procedures
- Perform tasks in a variety of departments within the Distribution Center, including Receiving, Shipping, Kitting, Packaging, Order Processing, Inventory control, Housekeeping, Safety training & any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, and/or Warehouse Supervisor & Warehouse Lead.
- Closely monitor timecard & request necessary changes with assistance from management prior to end of pay period.
- Discuss and resolve work related and or personal issues through the Warehouse Manager and/or Branch Manager.
- Participate in daily tailgate meetings & monthly safety meetings with staff
- Understand and follow all company rules and regulations, with clarity coming from Management in any direction needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required by Warehouse Manager and business need
Education/Credentials:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse/distribution center environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds of uneven weight consistently
- 1-2 consecutive years of experience, certified usage of electric stand-up reach trucks, order pickers
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while performing assigned responsibilities daily
- Good communications skills, written and verbal required
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations
- English speaking preferred, bi-lingual welcome
- Extended hours may be requested on a volunteer basis with advance notice from management
- Computer literacy desired-Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems highly desired
- Will be expected to report to work daily and on time, excellent attendance is required
- Ability to prioritize, shift from one assigned duty to another in a different department on a daily basis as needed, with training to be provided by Warehouse Manager
- Ability to cross-train on all facets of warehouse environment will be required
Position: Full-time, In-person
Work Hours: 7AM-3:30PM, Monday-Friday
Hourly Pay: $18.00
