An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within City of Lincoln Council's forward thinking HR department.
Working in a business partnering model, you will support managers of all levels within the council, providing high quality HR advice throughout the employee lifecycle from recruitment and resourcing, employment (including performance management), disciplinary, grievance and attendance management issues, to the leaving and offboarding process.
Key responsibilities
The ideal candidate must also be working towards / have completed their CIPD qualification level 7 or have equivalent experience, have an in-depth working knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application in the workplace and be able to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- To interpret and apply employment legislation and case law to make sure the council is responsive, compliant, and adaptable to the demands of new and changing employment legislation.
- Mentor and coach line managers in respect of individual casework providing HR direction and support through formal and informal policies and procedures.
- Form effective working relationships with management and staff to ensure the performance of staff within the terms of the council's policies, professional standards, and relevant legislation.
