Position Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of our organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leadership, assist in managing financial reporting, and help implement best practices in accounting and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Help manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
• Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure internal controls are in place to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Support the Controller in cash management and financial planning activities.
• Assist with tax compliance and preparation of related filings.
• Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process and provide requested documentation.
• Assist in improving financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners.
  
  

This role is on-site every day near Akron, Ohio and offers $85,000 to $95,000 based on experience.
