Position Overview

We seek a skilled IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. We want to hear from you if you have a passion for technology and possess excellent problem-solving skills! In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to our staff, ensuring that our computer systems and peripherals operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to IT support requests, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT systems, ensuring they are secure and running at optimal performance.
  • Assist users in setting up new equipment, including computers, printers, and peripherals, while providing training on IT resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and network problems, maintaining accurate records of issues and repairs.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard systems from threats while educating staff on security best practices.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff on projects to enhance IT services and participate in team discussions regarding IT strategy.

Skills

  • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Windows and/or Mac OS environments with knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and other typical software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An electrical background or certification is a plus.
  • Certifications in Microsoft platforms (such as Azure, MCP) or CCNA are preferred.

Physical Qualifications

  • Office/Distribution Center setting.
  • Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Flex schedule: Second-shift availability is required, with the potential for nights and weekends for emergencies. Shift rotation schedule: M-F, Su-Th.
