Gather Catering, the newest division of the award-winning Trademark Venues, is on the hunt for an ambitious, strategic, and proven Director of Catering Sales to take the reins of a powerful new sales engine. We’ve expanded our culinary capabilities, supercharged our operations, and are ready to compete with the top catering firms in Southern California. Now, we need a dynamic sales leader to match.
About the Role
This is not your average director role. As the Director of Catering Sales, you’ll be the tip of the spear—personally closing high-value deals, building out referral networks, and crafting the systems and strategy that will support hundreds (yes, hundreds) of unforgettable events per year.
You’ll start as a player-coach, generating revenue while laying the groundwork for a full sales department. Over time, you’ll lead a team of professionals, mentor junior sellers, and scale this division into one of the premier catering sales forces in the region.
What You’ll Do
- Drive and close new catering business across weddings, corporate events, nonprofits, municipal events, and social gatherings
- Develop and execute a scalable sales strategy to meet aggressive growth goals
- Represent Gather Catering at industry expos, tastings, and networking events
- Build long-term referral pipelines with planners, venues, and corporate partners
- Hire, train, and lead a growing team of sales professionals as the division scales
- Work cross-functionally with culinary, operations, and marketing teams to deliver unforgettable client experiences

- Someone who lives for events and knows what it takes to make them exceptional
What You Bring
- 5+ years of sales experience in catering, events, hospitality, or related industries
- 3+ years of team leadership or department management experience
- Demonstrated track record of closing $5M+ in annual revenue
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales forecasting
- A valid driver’s license
