Description

The Santa Barbara County Department of Child Support Services is seeking an Assistant Director with the vision and dynamic leadership to move the child support program forward to meet the challenges of the future.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative leader with a strong background in the leadership of child support programs in the state of California. The candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a global perspective, be an expert in learning new concepts quickly, and possess exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrate the highest degree of initiative, integrity, fairness, character, and good judgment. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated record of effective fiscal management and budgetary planning; have knowledge of current trends and best practices that influence and enhance child support services; empower departmental staff with the authority and resources to provide excellent customer service; mentor staff and foster a team environment that motivates staff to work efficiently and effectively; spearhead customer-focused innovations and process improvement.
