General Summary
Under direction, is responsible for facilitating proactive and cost-effective management of utility (water, wastewater, stormwater) infrastructure assets using advanced asset management concepts and sustainable operations. Uses standard engineering and planning techniques, procedures and criteria to propose and prioritize appropriate interventions, and recommend projects and programs. Work requires knowledge of detailed asset lifecycles to sustainably manage physical assets. Assignments usually have specified objectives requiring the implementation of existing processes with some development of new approaches to problems. Works with administrative, engineering, technical, inspection, and maintenance staff to ensure cross-unit coordination and standardization. Provides direction for implementing United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and State of Michigan regulations. Utilizes current county and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Employees of this classification are required to be available for operational problems, equipment emergencies, widespread storms, power outages and other operations and maintenance emergencies as deemed necessary by management after normal working hours, weekends and holidays. Also, employees in this classification are assigned On-Call duties as required by management.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.
Pay Range
USD $70,191.00 - USD $94,044.00 /Yr.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Urban Planning, Biology, or related area.
- Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur’s license. Out of Country driver’s license holders will be required to obtain the appropriate valid State of Michigan driver’s license before the hire date.
- Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification.
- Successfully complete a six month probationary period.
Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.

USD $70,191.00 - USD $94,044.00 /Yr.
