Position: Marketing Data Analyst

SUMMARY
Utilize marketing systems - including Power BI , SQL Server, HubSpot, and Alteryx- to transform member and prospective member information into actionable sales and marketing reports.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Excel, and/or data mining systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Reporting
- Develop Marketing Dashboards using PowerBI.
- Continually mines member data and uses inquiry and query tactics to identify opportunities and risks based upon current member behaviors and propensities.
- Works with end users to determine reporting needs.
- Performs data mining and statistical analysis to develop database-marketing strategies that optimize ROI and drive business through profitable channels.
- Performs account/member-level data analysis through numerical/statistical programming tools.
- Research profitable customer segments, identify growth opportunities, and develop monthly reports across the enterprise to support member acquisition, retention and cross-selling strategies.
- Process and review marketing reports for internal consumption.
- Understands and easily communicates marketing database fundamentals, including (but not limited to) core system data fields and custom fields. Must be able to interpret this information in the reporting process.
- Tracks progress on initiatives, identifies sales prospects and measures the success of marketing, sales and new product efforts. Makes recommendations based on post-campaign analysis.
- Marketing Surveys
- Maintain and distribute all marketing surveys and reports.
- Process Refinement
- Audits and evaluates all process documentation for Marketing Analytics processes and keeps them up to date.
- List Development
- Develops segments, direct mail, and email lists for marketing campaigns and promotions within Marketing Automation tool.
- Miscellaneous
- Works with software vendors to isolate and debug software problems
- Must be able to attend Board approved training or conferences to learn new business intelligence or data mining strategies.
- Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
- Troubleshoot any anomalous data or system issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, Database Analytics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience and Other Requirements:
- Experience performing database analysis preferred.
- Coursework or experience in marketing helpful, as is market research, product development and/or direct marketing experience.
- Experience in business intelligence preferred.
- Must be a creative thinker and problem solver as well as possess and display strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be eager to learn, enthusiastic, motivated and a self-starter.
- Must demonstrate the proficiency to query and transform data from relational formats to a variety of database formats.
- Excellent communication skills required, including reports, presentations, and group facilitation skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel to off-site meetings or training as required.
- Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently. Must be able to redirect priorities based upon current workload (ability to react to current situations)
- Demonstrate teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to perform all functions independently with minimal supervision in a reasonable amount of time.
Computer Skills:
Extensive computer use required, with working knowledge of marketing technology and Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and PowerBi, Strong SQL required. Must be proficient in the use of internet and email.
Interpersonal Skills:
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
