Are you a solutions-driven, community-focused professional with a passion for agriculture? A long-standing nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for local farmers and ranchers is seeking a Part-Time Executive Director to oversee operations, coordinate signature events, and represent its membership at various levels of government.

About The Role

  • Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours/week)
  • Contract: 1099, at-will
  • Compensation: $20/hour, paid monthly
  • Location: San Bernardino County (preference for candidates local to the Redlands/Yucaipa area)
  • Some local travel required

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead monthly executive meetings
  • Plan and execute an annual fundraising dinner
  • Represent the organization in meetings with elected officials and public agencies
  • Draft press releases and liaise with local media
  • Support a young professionals committee focused on agriculture
  • Maintain website and membership CRM system
  • Collaborate with peer organizations and statewide partners
  • Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts

Ideal Candidate

  • Clear, confident communicator with strong writing skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable interacting with public officials, community leaders, and the media
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with basic CRM and web tools
  • Prior experience in nonprofit leadership or community outreach preferred
  • Background or interest in agriculture, farming, or gardening is a plus
  • Must be able to attend in-person meetings in the Redlands/Yucaipa area
