Summary
Bering Global Solutions, LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Fitness Center Director for Occupational Health Program for the NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, VA.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

- Plans, markets and conducts ongoing fitness programs
- Instructs fitness center users on proper and safe use of equipment and use of fitness resources
- Provides administrative support to operate the facility as necessary
- Sets up individual fitness programs as a personal trainer for groups and individuals to meet their needs

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field
- Current licensure and certification in their individual professional field, as appropriate provided by the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Athletic Trainers Association, the American Society of Exercise Physiologists, the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, or comparable credentialing entity.
- 3-5 Years full-time experience managing a physical fitness facility and comprehensive physical fitness program
- Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification and or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Providers (2-year certificate) and American Red Cross First Aid Certification
