Multiple shifts available: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Monday - Thursday, 3:25pm - 1:55am, eligible for 7.5% shift differential on base rate

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Verify part counts against work order.
  • Identify defects in workmanship regarding finishes, physical damage, and part identification.
  • Meet Orion safety and quality system requirements Maintain 6S and Lean manufacturing best practices.
  • Utilize ERP system to document work movement. Epicor and Paylocity.
  • Process work within performance and delivery requirements:
  • Meet established productivity standards.
  • Follow communicated job priority instructions.
  • Communicate production delays and problems to appropriate supervision.
  • Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team fully.
  • Participate in team and company meetings.
  • Model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Read and understand work order/Job Traveler
  • Layout parts for painting and identify appropriately.
  • Maintain flow of department including monitoring jobs to come out of oven when cure is complete.
  • Separate, identify, and move jobs to appropriate job work queues after prep is completed.

  • Basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Mathematical and measurement skills.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions and specifications.
  • Organizational ability.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collectively.
  • Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customers.

  • Occasional use of computer
  • Consistent use of hands and fingers to reach, manipulate, handle, and hold material
  • Consistent use of vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationship
  • Frequent use of hearing ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
  • Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions
  • Frequent lifting of 15 or 20 pounds, with occasional lifting to 50 pounds
  • Consistent exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses
  • Consistent exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
