Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and internal controls. This role is responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, overseeing audits, and supporting budget development and grant reporting.

The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and internal controls. This role is responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, overseeing audits, and supporting budget development and grant reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit standards.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor grant spending and ensure proper fund accounting.
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings (e.g., Form 990).
- Support budget development and financial forecasting.
- Supervise accounting staff and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3–5 years of nonprofit accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting and GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
