The People & Culture (HR) Assistant serves visitors by welcoming and directing them appropriately and enhancing Company’s effectiveness by providing administrative support across a broad spectrum of activities.

Our People & Culture department in Belleville, IL is now looking for a People & Culture (HR) Assistant.
Key Tasks
Welcomes Visitors By
Greeting customers in person or via telephone; monitoring visitor access; assisting visitors with the electronic system for sign in and confidentiality agreements upon entry of building; answering or referring inquiries; issuing visitor badges; point of contact for incoming employees and visitors needing to meet with various departments.
Provides People & Culture Support By
Issuing temporary, new hire, or forgotten badges to employees; serves as the assigned administrator for the Americas Employee Recognition Program; maintains current temporary employee tracking and serves as a liaison between staffing agencies and Company leaders; maintains the prescription safety glasses program; pulls ad hoc reports from various systems; serves as the assigned administrator for the Americas Bereavement Gestures process; and performs filing duties as needed.
Provides Building Support By
Maintaining and tidying the front office area and conference rooms, including watering plants, monitoring supply levels, and submitting purchase requisitions for products as needed; coordinating events including but not limited to townhalls and ad hoc meals; serves as a liaison for vending contractors, reporting maintenance or IT issues, and other duties as assigned.
Provides Interdepartment Support By
Receiving, sorting, and routing mail; calculating postage for outgoing office mail; supporting operations and shared services as needed, data entry and other functions as needed

Your Background
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of clerical experience is desired
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Proficient personal computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database, word processing, Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license required
