Assistant Manager, Ticket Operations – Overview

Elevate is seeking an Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations for its Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics operation. This position will be responsible for multiple aspects of ticket operations, including direct oversight of men’s basketball and women’s volleyball.

Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight of all ticket operations responsibilities for men’s basketball and women’s volleyball including event creation, creating price codes, ticket renewals and invoicing, event on-sales, mobile ticketing initiatives and seat relocations
  • Act as on-site ticket operations manager for all men’s basketball and women’s volleyball home games
  • Successfully create and manage sale of public and student ticket events on Account Manager and Ticketmaster Host platforms
  • Develop and maintain ticket manifests for men’s basketball and women’s volleyball
  • Hire, train, and supervise part-time ticket operations game day staff
  • Assist with football ticketing needs
  • Assist with football game day ticket operations for all football home games
  • Occasional travel with the men’s basketball and women’s volleyball teams to perform player guest ticketing procedures for post-season and/or neutral site events
  • Other duties as assigned by Penn State leadership and assisting other departments when needed

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience:
  • Typically requires an associate’s degree or higher plus three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience within the sports industry preferred
  • Experience that demonstrates knowledge of ticket operations and ticket reporting
  • Experience that demonstrates knowledge of working alongside a sales and service team preferred
  • Experience using Ticketmaster suite of products (Archtics, TM1, CMS Tools, Host) preferred
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Self-starter with a positive, “no-quit” attitude
  • People-oriented. Ability to collaborate and influence diverse teams. Strong communication skills that can tell the story of the data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative, analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Understands the importance of preserving confidentiality
