Job Overview

You'll work directly with senior leadership and department heads to ensure every function, from sales to service, aligns with our growth goals, customer-first values, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations across departments: Service, Installation, Sales, Call Center, Plumbing, and Warehouse.
  • Lead budgeting and fiscal planning with the President and Accounting Manager.
  • Monitor KPIs and financial statements to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Guide department managers on inventory control, P&L awareness, pricing, and team productivity.
  • Implement and support Nexstar Best Business Practices across all departments.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly management meetings and training.
  • Ensure superior customer service standards are met company-wide.
  • Support marketing and sales planning initiatives, including advertising and promotions.
  • Ensure training of CSRs, technicians, and field staff aligns with Nexstar standards.
  • Direct recruiting, hiring, and performance reviews for all staff with support from HR.
  • Liaise with the leadership team to shape long-term strategy and operational improvements.
  • Serve as acting executive decision-maker in the absence of the President.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in operations, preferably in service trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction).
  • Proven leadership in multi-departmental or business-unit management.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with team management, employee development, and performance evaluation.
  • Proficient with business systems, flat-rate pricing, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing/HVAC service or repair environments preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday (8-10 hour shifts)
  • Weekend work and extended hours may be required
  • 40-60 hour workweek depending on seasonal workload
