The Opportunity

We are seeking a Service Center Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and manage the operations of a facility, overseeing the warehouse operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse meets its operational and revenue goals, while maintaining maximum cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction. A key focus of your role will be to develop, engage, and coach a team of exceptional talent, ensuring they work safely and execute with excellence. You will also troubleshoot operational issues and partner with various departments to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management:
  • Lead by example, emulating the behaviors expected of all employees.
  • Manage and coordinate facility operations to ensure continuous improvement and meet or exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery.
  • Push for departmental results, identifying and addressing any issues with appropriate action plans.
  • Team Development & Engagement:
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach a team to perform at their best while ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Assist with hiring the best-qualified applicants and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Operational Efficiency & Profitability:
  • Prepare the facility budget and monitor monthly variance.
  • Collaborate with HR and Maintenance to address employee concerns, equipment issues, and safety matters.
  • Customer Relations & Sales Support:
  • Support sales efforts to meet quotas by maintaining strong relationships with customers and the customer care team.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure a safe working environment by complying with company and government safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot warehouse issues and resolve operational conflicts effectively.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP & QAD preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Seven (7) years of relevant industry experience, with four (4) years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Classification: Exempt, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, at-will position.

This is an onsite position, located at the posted Warehouse.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking throughout the facility and between departments as part of daily operational tasks.
  • Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
