Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Human Resources Representative for our company. The Human Resources Representative is responsible for providing leadership and counsel in the area of Human Resources across several locations. This position will drive key initiatives in areas like performance management, organizational effectiveness and employee communication. - Base salary is $68,640

- Onsite position based out of Santa Barbara, Chino, Sacramento, and Newark, California.
Essential Duties
- Reviews and approves employment actions, including counseling and terminations
- Consults with management regarding the appropriate handling of employee relations issues
- Handles employment-related inquiries and concerns from employees, referring complex matters to the appropriate staff.
- Answers policy and procedure questions
- Participates in labor relations activities
- Develops strong interdepartmental partnerships across all levels of the organization.
- Conducts training and information sessions on Human Resources-related topics
- Ensures compliance with state and federal working regulations, as well as internal policy and procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or HR certification preferred.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, and formula creation.
- Practical experience in the production and service industry is preferred.
- Experience working in a union environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of employment law and practices, understanding of Company policies, procedures, state and federal laws, with the ability to apply the knowledge to multiple situations.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to remain calm and professional while working with individuals experiencing high stress or emotional situations.
- Must be able to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Bilingual Proficiency - candidates who are conversational in English/Spanish are preferred.
