Job Summary
The Staff Accountant performs professional accounting, analytical, and administrative work which assists in maintaining the Clinic’s accounts payable functions through entering vendor invoices, updating vendor records, and performing analytical functions that pertain to the Clinic’s expenditures.
Key Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Staff Accountant performs professional accounting, analytical, and administrative work which assists in maintaining the Clinic’s accounts payable functions through entering vendor invoices, updating vendor records, and performing analytical functions that pertain to the Clinic’s expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
- Entry of vendor invoices into general ledger system.
- Review, reconcile, and maintain vendor statements.
- Responsible for the timely processing of accounts payable invoices paying attention to detail to ensure invoice prices agree with purchase orders and correct general ledger coding is used.
- Update vendor records as needed; which include maintaining payment terms, utilizing early payment discounts, updating mailing addresses, and applying grant coding for any grant funded projects.
- Assist in record keeping of Clinic’s inventory
- Assist Finance team in performing analytical comparisons of current year, prior year, and budgeted financial statement activity for each operating location and department.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document transactions.
- Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development through seminars, conferences, and community involvement.
- Provides accounting support for Finance team.
- Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic’s overall mission.
- Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
- Proficient in standard software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related degree.
- 1-3 years professional accounting experience, prefer healthcare experience.
- Experience handling cash
- Experience with NetSuite
