Role Overview

The role of Environmental Safety and Security Specialist is pivotal to maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant working environment. You will champion the integration of health and safety protocols with facility security measures, ensuring adherence to all pertinent regulations. This position is not just about compliance; it's about cultivating a culture of safety and vigilance through risk assessments, proactive training, and constant oversight.

Your Mission

  • Champion EHS: Craft and uphold safety programs that align with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant standards. Regularly inspect the workspace to detect safety or environmental threats.
  • Accident Analysis: Delve into workplace incidents, draft reports, and counsel on preventive strategies.
  • Collaborative Culture: Join forces with leaders to foster safety-first initiatives and pioneer employee education in health and safety topics.
  • Sustainability Insights: Track and assess environmental footprints, encouraging sustainable practices.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct safety audits, share assessments, and guide Safety Committee discussions.
  • Security Duties: Aid the FSO in deploying security protocols, processing clearances, and overseeing facility protection, from access control to crisis management.
  • Education and Compliance: Run training sessions, ensure workforce readiness, and stay current on emerging regulations.

Qualifications
