Arundel Federal Savings Bank headquartered in Anne Arundel County is expanding its lending team and seeks a Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst. You will be charged with evaluating the creditworthiness of existing and potential commercial customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and market data.

As the Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyze credit data and financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements to assess borrower risk.
  • Prepare credit memorandums and risk assessments for loan requests.
  • Assist in structuring loan terms and making recommendations on creditworthiness.
  • Activities include managing loan portfolios by obtaining reports from borrowers, measuring compliance with loan covenants, and performance of annual loan reviews.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios for deteriorating credit conditions or policy exceptions.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and Loan Officers to gather client information.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
  • Participate in the underwriting of new and renewed commercial loans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and economic conditions affecting credit risk.
  • Assist in preparing materials for credit committee presentations.
  • Perform ongoing credit reviews and annual reviews of existing customers.
  • Responsible for applying requirements relating to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP) including Beneficial Ownership (BO). Responsible for applying all the regulatory requirements during the performance of the job duties as assigned.
  • Complete all annual required BSA and other bank compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Performs other support and related duties as assigned by the Manager.


Are you the one we need? If so, these are your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and lending principles.
  • Knowledge of commercial loans (C&I, CRE, SBA), lending criteria, compliance, and federal/state regulations.
  • Must be proficient in financial modeling.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • PC proficient, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), and Internet.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently to produce thorough and accurate work.

Pay: From $84,000 to $125,000 per annum
