Make a meaningful impact in senior living leadership.Lantern Crest Senior Living is seeking a dynamic, organized, and compassionate Independent Living Operations Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our Independent Living community. Reporting to the Executive Director or Senior Executive Director, this role ensures excellence in resident care, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Independent Living community, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee and support all department managers to ensure exceptional resident care and staff engagement.
Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and help drive operational efficiency.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff in accordance with company policies and California regulations.
Promote and maintain high resident satisfaction by building strong relationships with residents and families.
Partner with the marketing and sales team to support occupancy and retention efforts.
Represent Lantern Crest to external agencies, partners, and community members.
Participate in quality improvement programs and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in operations management or administrative leadership in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related field.
Strong understanding of Independent Living or senior housing preferred.
Experience supervising department heads and managing cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of California licensing and regulatory compliance is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage budgets, track outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
