Role Summary
Assist in creating and maintaining insurance products to support company growth and profitability. Accomplished in collaboration with department staff, other business units, and vendors.
Essential Role Functions: The Product Analyst plays a supporting role in performing the following activities:
1 Conducting research and analysis of competitor products, state insurance regulations, and market trends
2 Developing recommendations for new products and/or changes to existing products; collaborating with stakeholders, and presenting to leadership for approval
3 Drafting wording for policy forms, customer advisories, and product manuals
4 Maintaining metadata for coverage forms and endorsements
5 Driving implementation of product changes by providing business requirements and support for system development, performing user acceptance testing, and creating training materials
6 Preparing and submitting regulatory form filings; negotiating regulatory approval of form filings
Other Role Functions
1 Providing product subject matter expertise to other business units
2 Performing other duties as assigned
Role Qualifications
Education/Certifications: College degree preferred; MBA highly desirable
Progress towards completion of industry education (CPCU, CIC, ACAS, etc.)
Experience: Three years of property and casualty insurance experience in Underwriting, Marketing or Claims, or one year in Product Management or Actuarial
Skills/Abilities: Solid understanding of personal lines insurance concepts and policy wording
Ability to communicate and explain complex topics to non-technical audiences
Excellent attention to detail; strong research and analytical skills
Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office
