Position Overview: The Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for designing, building, deploying, implementing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administering Vibrant Credit Union's mission-critical server technology software and hardware infrastructure.

Position Overview: The Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for designing, building, deploying, implementing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administering Vibrant Credit Union's mission-critical server technology software and hardware infrastructure.
What You Will Do
- Manage the design and detail architecture of Vibrant infrastructure and network to growth and scale of organization; make recommendations for change
- Leads and participates in planning design, technical review, and implementation for all new IT systems (not limited to IT services, new business applications, integrations, automation, or new service offerings)
- Build and implement tools, processes, and sequencing for significant organizational changes (mergers, data centers, etc.)
- Resolve infrastructure design, performance, capacity, and sizing issues
- Provides second and third level of advanced escalated technical support in the day-to-day operations on all Vibrant technology; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time, and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems
- Create and maintain all design and implementation documentation
- Remain current on technical and financial optimization, cost optimization trends, and emerging technologies
- Make recommendations on product roadmap for future state infrastructure design
- Maintain disaster recovery/backup plans; ensure zero data loss
- Support Microsoft licensing for data center and relationships with data center providers; appropriately escalate to management when needed
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including its design, administration, migration, and maintenance
- Oversee the design and implementation of file storage
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Four-year degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; or
- 5-7 years of experience designing, maintaining, and implementing a complex IT technical system, utilizing best practices and supporting IT systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Lift 50+ lbs
- Availability to support operations during non-standard business hours such as evenings and weekends as business needs warrant
- Participation in on-call rotation is required
- Aware of cybersecurity security frameworks and applications in technical design/implementation
- Experience with the following:
- Windows Active Directory
- Linux
- Automation with PowerShell or other scripting languages
- VMWARE ESX Server
- Cloud Platform (Azure / Office 365)
- Design/Deployment/Maintenance of enterprise applications (both onsite and cloud-hosted)
- Advanced working knowledge of infrastructures, including general servers, networking design, databases
- Ability to present to technical and non-technical staff, vendors, or customers
- SVP IT
