A Senior Patient Access Representative is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Patient Access Area. Responsibilities include:
- Provide new hire training and to assist staff with training as needed.
- Responsible for knowing/doing all aspects of the Patient Access job duties.
- Responsible for the accurate registration of all patients seeking access to hospital services.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of third-party payer admissions and registration requirements, as well as general understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Previous clerical, collections and credit experience; knowledge of healthcare accounts receivable billing and collections, experience with automated systems applications
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting hospital patient access staff
- Experience with training staff and developing training curriculum material
