Overview

A global leader in advanced manufacturing services is seeking a Sr. Manager or Director of Facilities to lead construction and operational facilities management for a new high-tech manufacturing site. This role is critical to overseeing construction progress, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term site operations. PMP certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate construction project schedules, budgets, and progress tracking.
  • Ensure construction quality, safety, and specification compliance across all phases.
  • Lead permitting, legal compliance, and interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee site operations planning, risk management, and allocation of personnel and equipment.
  • Develop maintenance and inspection plans for 24/7 semiconductor facility operations.
  • Monitor and optimize energy consumption for sustainable site performance.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure operational readiness across all plant systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical); trade program or technical certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in facilities design, construction, and operations management.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, environmental controls, safety regulations, and fire prevention.
  • Strong leadership in team development and vendor management.
  • Skilled in government liaison, negotiation, and regulatory compliance.

Preferred

  • Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Cleanroom systems management and facility optimization expertise.
  • Familiarity with legal licensing, trade certifications, and energy-saving initiatives.

Work Environment

Initial work in Tempe; role transitions to Peoria site. Primarily onsite with some flexibility for remote work. Candidate must be comfortable in industrial environments with exposure to chemicals, tools, and mechanical equipment.
