Description
The Weld County Sheriff's Office (Greeley, CO) is recruiting for a
Civil Office Technician. The Civil Office Technician is responsible for the
initial receipt, data entry, and return of service information of civil
process brought into the Sheriff's Office for service. The Sheriff has
specific statutory obligations concerning the service of civil process. These
obligations are met in part by the person in this position.
Supervision Received
Works under the direct supervision of a Sergeant or an administrative
superior.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
$19.77 - $25.01 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab on the job posting).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the qualification
requirements and be able to perform each essential, and additional, job

Communicate with the public, co-workers, and other employees on the
telephone, in person, or at the front counter to provide civil process
services and other general services for the Sheriff's Office.
Review civil documents presented for service to assess appropriate fees to be
collected for the service.
Code and input information into a computer that produces accurate records
concerning civil document types, service requirements, and completion data
including billing information concerning the service. Edit automated name,
address, and telephone record information to keep current and accurate
records concerning civil process.
Review and match computer generated routing slips, affidavits, billing
information and the original civil document to provide return of service
information to the originating person.
Answer telephone requests from the public and other agencies to provide public
services and information concerning services provided by the Sheriff's Office.
File original civil documents alphabetically to maintain accurate inventory of
civil documents.
Perform essential tasks of other support services positions after being cross
trained in those positions.
Perform related work as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school graduation or GED equivalent.
Required Experience
Three years experience in an increasingly responsible position in an office
setting. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Colorado driver's license
