Description

General Purpose: Direct operations in the Home Equity Mortgage Loan Processing, Title and CPI areas. Oversee various LMS programs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Direct operations in the Home Equity Mortgage Loan Processing, Title and CPI areas. May delegate portion of responsibilities, when necessary, but may not delegate overall responsibility for results, or any portion of accountability. Implement and execute all AVP Regional MSCs approved decisions.
  • Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may affect the member service and lending functions.
  • Assist VP of Consumer Lending with respect to recommendations for hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, training and development, and inter­pretation of credit union rules and policies for department personnel. Conduct all personnel functions in ac­cordance with applicable statutes (e.g., EEO, OSHA, Fair Labor, etc.).
  • Maintain organizational structure established by President. Organize staff personnel into effective, efficient work groups. Ensure that direct reports are granted proper authority and responsibility to carry out assigned functions. Review work systems to reduce duplication of effort and unnecessary work. Provide consistent training and development of employees.
  • Assist in the development of relevant new financial services in the consumer loans area. Will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, conducting due diligence, and ensuring program contracts meet CU standards. Will conduct annual reviews to make sure services are providing the most value and benefit to members, and do not place undue risk on the CU.
  • Manage multiple third-party contracts and websites relevant to consumer lending. Negotiate and renew third party contracts relevant to areas of responsibility.
  • Research, implementation, daily administration and maintenance of loan products, including but not limited to the consumer mortgage loan program, title perfection function, collateral protection insurance, and loan protection projects.
  • Manage employee loan discounts by adding and removing discounts, annual employee credit card review and audits, and auditing of employee loans.
  • Train, coach, and develop staff members to ensure CU objectives are being met. Conduct regular department meetings and regulation training to ensure all employees are trained on a regular basis. Write and conduct timely performance appraisals.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of department budget consistent with the strategic plan and overall budget.
  • Prepare standardized reports as directed by VP of Consumer Lending
  • Assist in writing and updating procedures for loan and member service functions.
  • Responsible for ensuring an adequate supply of all operating materials used by assigned employees.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by VP of Consumer Lending.
