Senior Superintendent - Iowa

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Superintendent to join our team in Iowa. The Senior Superintendent will play a key role in overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring that they are completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and project timelines
• Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, permits, and other necessary paperwork
• Mentor and support junior superintendents and construction staff to foster a positive and productive work environment
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to address project challenges and find effective solutions
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a superintendent or similar role in construction
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred
  
  

Day-to-day

• Coordinate work activities with subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare and update project schedules and timelines
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Review and approve change orders and project expenses
• Address and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts
• Monitor and report project progress to senior management
