Postion Summary

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Associate Brand Manager. You will play a crucial role in owning and executing key elements of brand strategy and marketing plans to drive business growth.

The Associate Brand Manager will join the Shelf Stable Juice Team—the largest category at Welch’s—at an exciting point in our brand’s evolution. In the past few years, we’ve launched a bold new masterbrand campaign (“Let’s Fruit Stuff Up”), redesigned our packaging, and built a disruptive innovation pipeline. Most recently, we introduced an all-new Zero Sugar platform. This role is a chance to shape the future of a 150-year-old brand as we modernize our core juice portfolio for today’s consumer.

Where You'll Work

This role will be based out of our new Waltham, MA headquarters, the hub of our family-farmer owned manufacturing company. Immerse yourself in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.

Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.

What You'll Do

  • Own key brand deliverables in partnership with the Brand Manager, helping to drive alignment on annual brand plans
  • Leverage data tools and consumer insights to develop firm understanding of category, consumer, and customer dynamics. Uses this understanding to provide monthly summary on business performance and develop game plans, contingencies, and recommendations across the 4 Ps
  • Manage brand platform forecast partnering with cross-functional team members to deliver aligned demand forecast
  • Lead the cross-functional platform team for the category, driving project timelines, managing agendas, and ensuring accountability across workstreams
  • Develop and execute specific marketing activities to meet Brand objectives (e.g. social/influencer media plan, consumer and trade promotion activities, digital couponing, retailer specific programs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to develop materials and goals for consumer promotions, plan initiatives, and new products
  • Establish and foster productive working relationships with brand and integrated marketing partners to develop and execute winning marketing plans and creative executions
  • Serve as the central point of contact for product data accuracy across internal teams (Brand, Finance, Regulatory, IT) and external partners, while managing digital assets for retailer eCommerce and syndication.
  • Support brand budget and manage PO creation, legal alignment, and reconciliation
  • Facilitate and manage marketing internal data management, including the creation of brand item codes

Who You Are

  • Organized and detail-oriented—you manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and follow through
  • Curious and analytical—you dig into the data, connect the dots, and bring forward clear, actionable insights
  • A strong communicator who can synthesize and share information in a way that influences decisions
  • Proactive and resourceful—comfortable working through ambiguity and solving problems independently
  • Passionate about building brands, especially in the food and beverage space
  • Brings experience in consumer research, P&L management, and volume forecasting

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
  • 2+ years minimum of relevant experience required.
  • CPG and/or food & beverage industry experience is preferred.

  • Paid parental (and adoption) leave - Available after 12 months of employment
  • The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $95,000-105,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
