Reli. is headquartered in Cerritos, CA. We are Hybrid Remote. Our work-from-home days are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Our in-office days are on Tuesdays and Thursdays to facilitate team bonding and collaboration.


Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and manage operational activities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while driving strategic improvements. The Operations Manager will emphasize people development and engagement, providing coaching, recognition, and mentorship. You will be responsible for guiding team performance and growth (aiming to support ~one full level of advancement per year per team member) and implementing process enhancements that scale with our growing business. This high-impact leadership role requires hands-on operational management combined with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular feedback. Foster an engaged and motivated team by recognizing achievements and creating individual development plans. Guide team members toward timely career growth
  • Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end operational activities, including procurement coordination, inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics. Ensure daily operations run efficiently and key performance metrics (fulfillment speed, accuracy, cost targets) are met or exceeded.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to streamline operational processes and improve productivity. Analyze workflows to pinpoint bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement solutions (e.g., improved SOPs, automation tools, or vendor changes). Drive continuous improvement projects that support scalability and quality as order volume grows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other department leaders (Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Software Dev, etc.) to align operational activities with company objectives. Communicate status, challenges, and improvements in operations to the broader leadership team. Act as a key liaison between the operational team and other departments to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
  • Strategic Planning & Accountability: Contribute to high-level operational strategy, including capacity planning, supplier management, and budgeting, to support the company’s growth trajectory. Take ownership of operational results and compliance with company standards. Serve as a role model in embodying Reli.’s core values during decision-making and day-to-day leadership.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or related field. 5+ years of experience in operations/logistics, with at least 2+ years in a managerial capacity leading teams. E-commerce or omnichannel retail experience is highly desired (familiarity with the pace and complexity of online order fulfillment).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with strong people-management skills. Passion for coaching, mentoring, and talent development – you have a track record of building team capabilities and advancing team members’ careers. Experience managing a team of a similar size (5-10 reports) is a plus.
  • Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of operational processes – from procurement and inventory control to fulfillment and replenishment. Able to oversee daily operations while implementing process improvements. Knowledge of operational software/tools (ERP, Google Sheets, order management systems) and data analysis.
  • Core Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration and nurturing a positive team environment. Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset. Demonstrated accountability and ownership of your area – willing to take charge of issues and drive them to resolution. Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth setting and adapting to changing needs.
  • Results & Collaboration: Data-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to set priorities and execute goals. Collaborative approach to work effectively with other leaders; capable of contributing insight at the leadership level to help shape company's operational strategy.
