Position Objectives: Teller Supervisor is responsible forensuring all bank policies are adhered to behind the teller line. This position is responsible for branch balancing, adherence to all bank regulations, overseeing all teller activities, assisting with the development of the teller staff and providing back up support for Personal Banker.
Essential Functions Of This Position
Service Standards
15%Ensures ASB’s customer service and professionalism policies are adhered to in order to provide customers with a quality service experience that exceeds their expectations. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; creating teller schedules that meet dual control guidelines as well as provide adequate coverage for exceptional service, answering phones, assisting lobby customers with questions or concerns about their accounts, and opening new accounts and/or assisting with consumer loans in the lobby. Monitored by Branch Management with feedback provided by Operations Manager and customers.
30% Ensures employees have ample opportunity to learn and grow within their existing position as well as learn new skills for future promotional opportunities. This is accomplished by mentoring, assigning additional responsibilities, coaching, suggesting alternative training, and following up with employees in regards to their online training options. Monitored by Branch Management with feedback from Operations Manager and HR.
Operational Standards
30%Monitorsthe teller line to ensure all operational policies and procedures are adhered to in order to maintain consistency and compliance with internal and external auditors. Responsible for providing teller transaction support along with new account support in the lobby in the absence of the personal banker or in cases of increased traffic in the lobby. Additional responsibilities include the following but are not limited to; monitoring teller transactions, ensuring all log books are maintained, completing all monthly branch audits, teller transactions have received necessary approvals, vaults are balanced, account verifications are completed in a timely manner as well as the scanning of new account documents, and ASB policies and procedures are followed. Monitored by Branch Management with feedback from Operations Manager and Risk Officer.
Compliance Standards
25% Monitorstheteller line to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met by all persons behind the teller line. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; ensuring the tellers complete all CTRs, SAR incident forms and Reg. CC holds, monthly surprise cash audits, alarm tests, maintaining dual control logs, key inventories, verifying and processing daily work, and balancing the branch each night. Provides direction and accountability to all tellers in relation to following compliance policies and procedures by ensuring that all on-line compliance training is completed by the required deadline and all questions are answered in a timely manner. Monitored by Branch Management with feedback by Operations Manager and Risk Officer.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or the equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 2 years teller experience required
- Minimum 1 year supervisor experience required
- 1 year of new account experience preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to supervise others
- Ability to motivate others in a team environment
- Ability to verbally convey information or ideas to others
- Ability to hear average or normal conversational tones
- Ability to use wrists, hands or fingers for repetitive motions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance-mechanical or human

- Summary of job specific BSA training is required within 30 days of employment
- Online BSA Training must be completed within 90 days of employment
